The aim of this work package is to revise currently used calibration and verification methods recommended in CISPR 16-1-1 for calibration of EMI receivers and their weighting detectors to make them more repeatable, reproducible, and less hardware stringent. In this work package the possibility of using arbitrary waveform generators with specially designed waveforms compliant with the requirements of the CISPR 16-1-1 standard will be investigated. Provided such compliant waveforms, calibration laboratories would be able to reproduce easily the standard pulses using general-purpose signal and arbitrary waveform generators. The standard needs to be amended in this respect to define requirements for waveforms both in the time and frequency domain.
